Brookhaven Roofers for New Roofs Installed to the Maker's Specifications
Tall Brookhaven oaks drop limbs and hold moisture on a roof for years. When yours is ready to go, the replacement goes on layer by layer exactly as the shingle manufacturer specifies, so it performs the way it was designed to.

How We Can Help With Your Roof
New roofs are the center of what we do. Storms and the claims that follow come right behind. Below is every service we offer, roughly in the order homeowners need them.
Roof Replacement
A full new roof. Old layers stripped, decking checked sheet by sheet, then underlayment, leak barrier, metal edging, flashing, vents and shingles, each placed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Storm Damage Roof Repair (Hail & Wind)
After hail or a strong blow, we look for the quiet damage too: bruised mats, broken seals, dimpled vents. Then we explain, gently and clearly, what it means for your roof.
Insurance Claim Assistance
A claim can feel like a maze. We document the damage with photos and measurements, stand beside your adjuster on inspection day and file supplements for anything the estimate missed. You make every decision.
Roof Inspections
Slopes, edges, flashing, vents, gutters and the attic, all checked and pictured. You get the photos and a calm explanation of what matters and what can wait.
Architectural Shingle Roofing
Architectural shingles with a thick, layered profile. Fastened in the manufacturer's nail zone with matched starter and ridge pieces.
Metal Roofing
Metal panels for a roof that takes wind and rain in stride. A good fit for homeowners staying put for the long haul.
Cedar Shake Roofing
Natural cedar laid with breathing room between shakes and airflow underneath. Repairs or a full new wood roof.
Gutters & Downspouts
Seamless gutters and downspouts that carry storm runoff away from walls and foundation, often installed alongside a new roof.
Roof Repair
If one spot is failing on an otherwise healthy roof, a repair may be all you need. If so, we will say so plainly.
Three Unhurried Steps
Look closely
We start with a full inspection on a daylight visit. Every slope, the flashing, the vents, the gutters and the attic. Photos of each concern. Then we sit with you and go through them, without rushing and without jargon.
Put it in writing
You receive an itemized estimate: materials, quantities, labor, plus what each replaced sheet of decking will cost. If a storm caused the damage, we prepare documentation for your claim and meet your adjuster on the roof.
Build it right, then tidy up
When build day arrives, the old layers are stripped, soft deck boards are renewed and each component goes on in the order and manner the manufacturer specifies. Afterward the yard is cleaned, swept with a magnet and walked with you.
Why Brookhaven Homeowners Feel Settled With Us
Replacing a roof is a big decision, and storm season can make it feel rushed. We try to make it feel manageable instead.
An estimate with no mysteries
The scope is itemized: what material, how much of it, what the labor covers, and the exact rate for any rotted decking found during tear-off. You agree to it before work begins, and nothing changes without a conversation first.
A roof you can see from the ground
Our inspection photographs every slope, every flashing detail, each vent and the gutters, plus the attic. You see what we saw, at the same moment we see it. No guessing, no pressure.
Someone who answers
One contact for your whole project. Calls returned. A confirmed start date. Short updates from the first shingle off to the final walkthrough, so you are never left wondering what is happening on your roof.
Serving Brookhaven and Neighboring DeKalb Towns
Brookhaven is a city of contrasts. Older brick homes near Dresden Drive, new builds squeezed onto deep lots, and generous houses tucked beneath tall hardwoods around Murphey Candler Park. Peachtree Road runs through the middle, I-285 marks the northern edge and I-85 the southern, which puts us within easy reach of North Druid Hills, Druid Hills, Decatur and the rest of DeKalb County, along with Dunwoody and Sandy Springs to the north. Spring and summer thunderstorms can bring hail, gusty wind and fallen branches to all of them. We serve each one the same careful way.
Leafy streets, busy gutters
Heavy canopy means debris on the roof and in the gutters. We include both in every inspection.
Old homes and new
A first-generation ranch and a recent two-story both get a roof installed to the same written standard.
The same steady call
Decatur, Doraville or Dunwoody, (678) 883-7564 reaches the same people and the same unhurried process.

Questions We Answer Every Week
Gentle, plain answers to what homeowners ask most.
What are the signs that wind has damaged my roof?
Missing shingles are the obvious one. Less obvious are tabs that have lifted and broken their seal, shingles creased across the top, and loose ridge cap or bent metal edging. Wind tends to hit edges and ridges first. Since lifted shingles can settle back down and look normal, a close inspection is the reliable way to know.
Is metal roofing worth what it costs?
For homeowners planning to stay many years, often yes. Metal costs more to install than architectural shingles, but it handles wind well, sheds water quickly and asks for very little maintenance. If you expect to move in a few years, shingles usually give better value. We are happy to quote both so you can compare calmly.
Can new shingles go right over my current roof?
Sometimes it is allowed, but we rarely recommend it. Laying shingles over an old layer hides the decking, so soft or rotted boards go unnoticed, and it adds weight. Many manufacturers also expect a clean deck for their installation standards. A full tear-off lets us check the wood and install every component correctly.
How does recoverable depreciation get paid out?
Many replacement cost policies pay in two parts. The first check reflects the roof's value after depreciation, and the rest is held back. Once your new roof is finished and the insurer has the closing invoice and completion paperwork, that held-back sum is paid out under your policy's terms.
How often should a roof be inspected?
Once a year is a sensible rhythm for most homes, plus a look after any significant hail or wind. Older roofs and homes under heavy tree cover benefit from that yearly check the most. Catching a lifted shingle or cracked pipe collar early keeps a small fix from becoming a larger one.
Quiet Confidence, Installed Correctly
Brookhaven Roofing was started for homeowners who want the job done properly and explained patiently. We inspect carefully, put every number in writing and install each roof to the manufacturer's specifications, from the nail line to the ridge. Storm or no storm, the goal is the same: a roof you never have to think about again for a long while.
